Tigard Library Presents Oregon History “Illustrated”

Public historian and archivist Richard Engeman will present an illustrated history of Oregon at the Tigard Public Library on Sunday, Feb. 12, at 1 p.m. “Oregon History 101” is a condensed overview of Oregon history from the 18th century to the present.

Using dozens of historical photographs and images, Engeman will provide 300 years of history in 50 minutes. The historian will examine our state’s rapid transition from salmon fisheries to shopping malls, from tall timber to city streets.

The program will be held in the Library’s Community Room. For more information, please call the Library at 503-718-2517 or visit the Library’s website at http://www.tigard-or.gov/library and click on “Programs & Classes.”
